There’s a lot of new and exciting things happening at Mustard and Co. these days. Starting, ever so humbly, with me…I’m Sandy: Bryan and Justin’s first official employee! I couldn’t be more excited to work with these two and be a part of their mustard empire. I’ll be taking on the role of Culture Ambassador, which totally sounds like one of those made up titles people give themselves to feel fancy. Maybe there’s a little bit of truth in that but mostly my goal is to bring the rad, unique culture of Mustard and Co. to the public eye and get you, yes you, involved in our community.
How exactly am I going to do that?
I’m glad you asked. You can expect to see and hear about Mustard and Co. a lot more around the city. We’ll be sponsoring events, throwing our own events and even attending your events (if you invite us, ahem). I’ve got a plethora of contest ideas in the works ranging anywhere from a simple instagram post-a-thon (no reposting, folks) to a scavenger hunt for a jar of our mustard.
In addition to this, we’ll start to give you a glimpse inside our kitchen. We’ll show you how the mustard is made and you’ll get to see how each of us uses the mustard in a recipe - a test kitchen installment, if you will. I’d like to emphasize the word test here. While the three of us do know our way around a kitchen, it doesn’t mean we always produce edible results. If you’ve got a recipe you love and want to bring it to the test kitchen table, just holler! Mustard loves company.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for Mustard and Co. We’re setting out to not only invade your kitchen cupboards but surface our culture and get involved with the amazing community that has been so supportive of us.
Feel free to bookmark this blog for your Monday morning distraction from work. We’ll be updating this bad boy at least once a week. And, don’t be shy. Share your comments and ideas with us. Want a tour of the mustard factory? Let us know. Have an idea for a mustard flavor or want to be a taste tester? We won’t know unless you tell us.
I'm excited to get involved with all of you mustard fanatics. Come by and say hello if you see us at your local farmers market.
